Helmut H Meckelburg, CEO confirms Safir’s commitment to increase the number of management contracts in Egypt in the near future and promotes improved returns to the owners of the managed Safir Hotels in Egypt and across the MENA region.

In 2009 Safir opened successfully its 400 room hotel in Kerbala, Iraq and its new 150 room Kuwait Hotel and Residences in Fintas Kuwait.

Last month Safir signed a new management contract in Aleppo for a 150 room Five Star Hotel and is in the closing stage of 2 additional hotels in Damascus and Aleppo.

Negotiations for Hotels in Dubai, Muscat, Mecca, Hurghada and Marsa Alam are in an advanced stage and expansion plans for Sudan, Iraq and Algeria are progressing.

CEO Helmut Meckelburg of Safir Hotels has also started discussions to start a cooperations agreement with an international well known Hotel School in some countries.
